Deer rut time is mostly in October. The bulls that fattened up in the summer are full of strength and their antlers are in the best shape and antler skin has been cleaned off. The neck has become thicker and a mane of darker hair has appeared on the withers and the scent glands have been activated. You can listen to the powerful roar of the bulls in the video link below.

A place of many options

Here you can rent a Island Sauna with wood-burning Finnish heater on the private island of the Toosikannu lake.

The island sauna lounge can accommodate up to 6 people and even provides sleeping places for two people. Blankets, pillows, and linens are provided. There is a fridge and simple – bowl washing conditions. The dry toilet is located outside from the sauna house.

Toosikannu has a lot to offer!

For groups, we arrange wildlife watching safaris also with a UTV, vintage bus or truck all year round. You can try your accuracy at our versatile shooting range. In winter, if there is snow, we arrange snowmobile trips, and ATV trours all year round. For groups interested in crafting, we offer the opportunity to order a Deer Antler Workshop and make a piece of jewelry or a unique souvenir from deer antler for yourself or as a gift.
